About Jess

Jess Nolan, a New Jersey native labeled as an old soul, has been compared to strong female songwriters like Joni Mitchell and Carole King. Her love of piano-driven music and poetic lyrics started in her childhood home and only blossomed further when she attended the Bruce Hornsby Creative American Music Program in the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.

Jess has opened for and toured with some incredible artists such as Gabe Dixon, Jorma Kaukonen, Muddy Magnolias, Dynamo, and Jason Eskridge. A skilled keyboardist and powerful vocalist, Jess puts on a captivating live show with her band, full of energy and emotion. She currently resides in Nashville where she paints stories of triumph and heartbreak through her soulful songwriting. Jess was a finalist for Lightning 100 and BMI's 2016 Road To Roo competition and the grand prize winner for their 2016 Music City Big Break competition. She was also named Best Live R&B/Soul Performer at the 2017 Nashville Industry Music Association Awards.

Jess's debut EP, "Strike A Match", is available on Spotify and iTunes. She is currently recording her debut LP.
